Dealing with workers

In this article it talks about chinese workers that went on strike for better pay and for less daily hours. The workers were asking for 45 dollars a month, which would equal 1215 dollars month now. They also wanted to only work 10 hours a day. I don't think to many people now a days would want a job like that. The strike was ended when new workers were hired and the Foreman said who ever goes back to work right now would still get paid for that month, most of the men went back to work and the rest were mad at their companions.

  1. Good Job Dallas, you did a good job of describing an example of workers going on strike.

  2. This summary is good, but everything is pretty surface, and I think you need to go a little deeper, as far as analysis goes. Maybe another source, some more auxilliary information might help next time~

  3. This must have been hard for the chines workers because they had nowhere else to go if they were not working on the rail road.

  4. It is interesting how in all the topics so far money has come up. I would have to agree that the workers did not get paid well at all.
